Light Box Assembled (After reviewing commercial light boxes and a range of DIY boxes, I decided to design my own. My requirements were:

1.Collapsible for storage.
2. Easy to set up and take apart.
3. Generous access for hands to pose items.
4. Stores in very little space.

It's constructed from 1/2 inch Schedule 40 white tubing available at hardware stores. The inner platform is made from a piece of foamcore and the "tent" material is a sleeve sewn from sheer white polyester purchased at a fabric store. It sets up (and tears down) in less than 5 minutes. I can actually set it up in less than a minute. SEE THE LAST PICTURE FOR A PARTS AND MATERIALS LIST.)
Light Box Ready to Store Away (Everything except the foamcore platform comes apart and fits in a single storage bag, making it easy to store or transport.)
Light Box Structural Parts (2 Base Sides with dual T-connectors; 2 Base Cross Pieces; 4 Vertical Corners with T-connectors and 90 degree elbows; 2 ceiling Beams; 2 Peaks with 45 degree elbows; --- CUT TUBING LENGTHS ---> (All dimensions are prior to gluing on T-connectors and Elbows) 2 each Base Sides: 13.5"; 2 each Base Cross Pieces: 16"; 4 each Vertical Corners: 15.25"; 2 each ceiling Beams: 18.5"; 4 each Peak segments: 2"; 8 each short pieces (for Base Sides and Vertical Corners): 1.5")
Light Box Base Assembly (Step 1 - Assemble the base by inserting the front and rear pieces into the T-connectors of the side pieces.)
Light Box Sides Added (Step 2 - Add the vertical side (corner) pieces by connecting the 90-degree elbows onto the four corners of the base.)
Light Box Top Beams Added (Step 3 - Attach the left and right "beams" that run each of the side corners of the light box.)
Light Box Top Peaks Added (Step 4 - Add the two "peaks" made with 45-degree elbows.)
Light Box Gatorboard Added (Step 5 - Lay the inner platform in place. Or do this step last if you find that it makes it awkward to add the fabric sleeve. On the right side of the platform you can see the ends of two wood strips glued to its underside. These rest inside the two Base Cross Pieces for stability.)
Light Box Fabric Sleeve (The sheer fabric sleeve when sewn is about 27" long by 47" in circumference or 27" x 23.5" lying flat as shown.)
