Challenge 25: Water Photography

/, Inspiration/Challenge 25: Water Photography

Welcome to week 25 of the 2024 SlickPic 52-week Photo Challenge! Thanks for being on the journey, and being committed to improving your skills.

This week’s Challenge is: Water Photography

Water is one of the most abundant substances or compounds on Earth. As such, it’s no surprise that it also provides us with plenty of fun and creative ideas for interesting photos. For this week’s challenge, will you go with the flow, ride the waves, or make a splash with your photography?

Whether you choose to take photos of bodies of water, or explore creative ideas like water droplet photography and water splash photography, the key is to show the dynamic quality of this subject. Demonstrate movement, show how it interacts with light, or even tap into the drama of the streets on a rainy day. Just make sure you’re ready to keep yourself and your camera from getting wet!

Need some tips and ideas? We suggest checking out these useful guides from Adobe, Digital Photography School, and Photofocus.

SlickPic was created by a group of like-minded photographers and photography-enthusiasts who wanted a service that wouldn't force them to conform to a certain style or niche, but one that would allow them the freedom to use their photos to tell whatever stories they want. They wanted a service that was capable of storing, showcasing, sharing, and displaying photos in all the different ways people use photos: some are meant just for family, some are taken for friends, and some are made for the world to see.
