Features and Set-Up
Because a MobiAlbum is a web app, it behaves like a traditional app, but doesn’t require anyone to download and install it from a 3rd party store. This makes the image album instantly viewable at your fingertips vs. a traditional web gallery that you would need to find using a browser.
Furthermore, new photos added later to the shared MobiAlbum by the original photographer (after the first share), will automatically appear in the MobiAlbum without having to re-share a link and without the recipient needing to do anything. This means that Pros can use MobiAlbums as a cool marketing tool that adds value with every viewing!
Because MobiAlbums are part of the overall SlickPic platform, they also inherit many customization options from SlickPic galleries, such as the ability to be viewed as a slideshow, adding frames and watermarks to images, and more.
SlickPic also included a number of very nice enhancements to the mobile viewing experience with MobiAlbums. Photographers can add their About Me and Contact information, provide a description of the album and image titles, as well as enabling QR codes and traditional sharing for “pass-alongs.”
Creating a MobiAlbum is as simple as flipping a toggle in the Customize Album dialog box. Once it’s been turned on, anytime the album is shared, there is an option to share traditionally (for desktop use) or share as a MobiAlbum.
Once you’ve toggled MobiAlbums on, when you share the album, another Share link and QR code will appear. Send those to your recipients and they can add them to their phones in a couple of taps!

MobiAlbums are available right now for any SlickPic user, including 14-day Free Trial users, as part of an “Introductory Phase.” Currently, customers can create an unlimited number of MobiAlbums to share. However when the Introductory Phase ends September 30, 2024, the number of MobiAlbums available to an individual user will be based on their specific subscription plan. Each plan will receive a certain number of MobiAlbums, and extras will be available for an additional fee.
