Firefall Phenomenon at Horsetail Fall
Every year in the last couple weeks of February the sun lines up at sunset to concentrate a beam of light on Horsetail Fall. If the skies are clear and there is sufficient water flow the golden light of the sun causes the water to appear orange or even red, making it appear as if the water has turned to lava.
