Oops she can see me.
Rose the smallest squirrel in the garden looking to see if I am in the shed
Mmmm chocolate.
Rose with a special treat of white chocolate.
I love hazel nuts.
Rose could resist no longer.
I might as well take it.
Rose deciding whether to take the hazelnut.
Is she still there?

What are you doing in my wood?
On a trip to Scotland we looked for red squirrels. I am not sure whether the little red spotted Tony first or Tony spotted the squirrel. I sure had a laugh photographing them.
Peace at last
The squirrels had been blown about in the wind. Their drey is high up in the top of the tree, when the wind blew at the strongest the squirrels cried out thinking their home would fall. The squirrel is having a quiet moment now the wind has dropped.
Peanut Butter monster.
This female Great Spotted Woodpecker loves peanut butter. there is a hole drilled into the wood. My partner Tony did it so I could fill it with food. The woodpecker is making the hole bigger on each visit, I think it is a clever bird and has worked out bigger hole more food!
Where are the nuts?
I usually put nuts on the fence just where the squirrel is sniffing. Today Pretty Boy is out of luck because Rusty and Patch have already been and eaten them.
Beggar in Leeds
Christmas wasn't kind to everybody. This man was in Leeds West Yorkshire UK. He sat on the floor out side the market hoping that people would give him money. I don't think he was getting much.
I don't see any nut?
I gave the squirrels some hazel nuts and chestnuts as a treat for christmas. They loved them and all wanted more.
Starling.
The starlings come into the garden in large flocks, feed on the seeds and suet then all suddenly up and fly away together as if a silent alarm has called them to leave.
Long Tailed Tits.
It is always lovely to see these cute little birds in the garden. They are one of my favourites. They are so fast I have trouble getting a picture of them.
Robin Redbreast
The robin comes to the bird table most days for suet and seed. He sometimes comes and sits in the shed with me, I think he likes to get warm by the calor gas heater.
It wasn't me!
The squirrels have been burying peanuts in my neighbours plant pots again.
Sunrise over Wrenthorpe
Almost as dramatic as the sunset came the following sunrise. Again the sky was aflame, reds and oranges filled the sky. Just watch out for that old shepherds warning!en
Sunset over Wrenthorpe 2
The sky is so dramatic, the colours are amazing. The sky looks like it is on fire.
Sunset over Wrenthorpe
The sky looks like it is on fire, or a volcano has erupted behind the houses. The colours are so vibrant, this is just how it was taken no work has been done to it.
Grey Squirrel
This is one of four squirrels visiting the garden. This one is a young male called Pretty Boy. They love the hazel nuts that I put out for a treat.
Great Spotted Woodpecker
This female woodpecker visits the garden to eat the peanut butter that fills the hole drilled in the side of the wooden crossbar. e
Storks
Taken in The Algarve Portugal, there were storks nesting on almost every rooftop. The storks would dance as part of the mating ritual which was very interesting to watch and made a very interesting photographic item. At least I thought so.
Up, up & away
The hot air balloons flew high in the sky, we could hear the people inside them chattering enjoying the ride. The balloons followed one another like a line of birds getting smaller and smaller til they could no longer be seen.
Open wide
The Blue Tit chick was being fed and he had to open his beak as wide as possible to fit in the bugs the parent bird brought to him
Gambian girl
Taken in Gambia a few years ago. This little girl had no idea I was taking her picture.
