We discovered this really cool living wall of plants that is there just to hide a parking lot.

Only in Italy!

While this is going through restoration, it is covered to look like the building beneath. Apparently this is how they do it, as we saw similarly covered buildings all over the place.

Lorenzo Medici "the magnificent" lived here & then his son Cosimo started restoring/renovating the Pitti Palace across the river for more space which then became the home of the main governing persons

We found this interesting painting of early Florence. Apparently they had naked giants that swam in the river back then.
