The five types of photos all photographers must know how to take are the back-ground blur shot, the everything-sharp shot, the motion blur, the freeze motion and the grainy shot. There are different characteristics that make each of the photos unique. For the back-ground blur you should use a shallow depth of field to focus on the closer object, aperture size, distance, and focal length will affect this. The everything sharp photo uses a deep depth of field so wide that there is no room for blur and everything should come out clear. The motion blur isn't just about getting a slow shutter speed but it also requires knowledge in the fundamental details of focusing and depth of field since sharpness is still very important. Freeze motion uses the technique called stop motion with the aide of flash.
