Blue Heron Hunting

Photos taken at a pond/nature preserve about a half mile from my home in Mundelein, IL.
There are several Blue and White Herons that feed at this locations. The preserve has an
abundance of "pan fish", Blue Gills, Sun Fish and small Small Mouth Bass.
I waited patiently for an hour, watching as this Blue Heron hunted for a meal. In all he
caught and ate 4 fish in the hour that I followed him.
