Not being able to scare up anyone to find this lovely spot, I set out myself (for the 2nd time), to find it. It took asking only SIX folks before finding the right road and the trail. By the time I set out, I had been on the road for at least 5 hours, for a 3 mile, round-trip, hike. The trail is uneventful, with very little to see; the falls, however, are lovely. One can go down the stone steps, almost to the very base. Just a really nice place to get away from it all. And, there are many, many other trails on Chilhowee Mountain to be conquered. It's also a great place for sunset pictures - there are several overlooks, as one makes one's way up the mountain. My next trip down there (it will be my 3rd), I am still hopeful of finding my way to Turtletown Falls; let's just hope the good ol' boys are sleeping, when this female is in the middle of nowhere by herself ; )
