I took this fairly difficult hike with the Plateau Chapter of Tennessee Trails Assn. With the additional trip further downstream to Fall Creek, we covered about 7 miles. Where Fall Creek, which goes downstream toward us, and Horsepound, which goes downstream away from us, converge, the waters enter a cave and come out 8-miles downstream, somewhere in the town of Beersheba Springs, TN. And, as you can see, after leaving Horsepound Falls, I fell - splat! My right foot stepped on a 1" diameter stick and my left foot stuck under it, leaving my self nothing further to do but fall straight down on both knees and hands. The hands are fine; the left knee (in the pics) didn't fair so well; the right knee is swollen internally, but I don't think there is any lasting damage. It just makes going up & down stairs a little uncomfortable. The freezer gel pack enjoys its finest hour ; }
