The Upper Cumberland Chapter of Tennessee Trails Association had its annual planning meeting, at Pete's house, in Sparta TN. After the meeting, we had a BBQ (Pete's burgers are the BEST!) - with everyone bringing something to share. After plenty to eat, we did a hike through the woods next to Pete's house. We regrouped at Pete's and drove out to Cummins Falls State Park, outside Cookeville TN. I thought I might be able to find my way back to the Interstate (a 2 hour drive home) by myself, because it was getting late. Unfortunately, boulder-hopping along the river gorge, I seemed to have made a misstep and slipped on a boulder, landing in the water and bruising an elbow and thigh. Thankfully, that's all that happened. While still at my car, one of the girls had caught up with me and offered to have me follow her, so I wouldn't get lost. Very nice end to a wonderful day. Enjoy the pics.
