I met Pete and Marnell at Virgin Falls trail head. We did not plan to hike out to Virgin Falls, due to its being a grueling hike out of the gorge. First, we stopped at Martha's Pretty Point, then headed out to Big Laurel Falls. As you can see, there wasn't very much water flowing. I fully expect Virgin Falls probably was pretty low, too. We hiked about 6 miles total and blessed with very nice weather - for August. Enjoy!
