I took this approximately 7-mile hike with 17 folks from the Plateau Chapter of Tennessee Trails Assn. The hike was located in the Laurel-Snow Pocket Wilderness in Dayton TN, about 1.5 miles from civilization. Although I had been to Laurel Falls several times, it seems every time Bill Harris leads a hike, I have an entirely new experience. This time did not disappoint. I had never been to Bryan Overlook - if I had, I would have remembered it. We had so much climbing way up, way down, in and out, it reminded me of Honey Creek. No one fell, no one got lost, although one-half the group set out after lunch without the rest of us. There was still plenty of fall colors to be appreciated.
