The season of Advent is upon us; a time for reflection and... waiting... waiting for the birth of our Lord Jesus.
On December 9, the subdivision of West Hills held its annual Tree Lighting with a gathering in the gazebo. There was a young couple, who provided the seasonal music; Betty Patton provided some much appreciated hot apple cider and cookies. Thank you, Betty. The event would not have been complete without a visit from Santa Claus, who did not appear to be any too jolly, but the children did not seem to notice. Santa seemed to have been disturbed from his appointment with his easy chair. At least we did not have to pay him, this year. There was a wood fire in one of the bbq grills that felt good against the chilly night air.
