The first of the seven salt lagoons of Baltinache, located in the center of the Atacama salt marsh at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level.

A bizarre rock outcrop called Piedra del Coyote ("Coyote Stone"), vaguely resembling the shape of a predator's head - one of the most popular tourist spots on the Mirador de Kari observation deck in the famous Valley of Mars (Valle del Marte), one of the best places to meet the sunset in the vicinity of the oasis of San Pedro de Atacama. At the Miniques lake
The high-altitude lake Miniques is located 140 kilometers southeast of the village of San Pedro de Atacama at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level near the border with Argentina, in close proximity to the CH 23 highway. The water in the lake, which is of glacial origin, is fresh and surprisingly changes its color depending on the lighting from black to rich aquamarine. On the shores of the lake and in its surroundings, you can find numerous representatives of the fauna of the Andes highlands, such as vicuñas, viscachas, gray foxes, flamingos, Andean geese, and Darwin's nandu.
Blue Atacama...
The third of the seven salt lagoons of Baltinache, located in the center of the Atacama salt marsh at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level. The salinity of the water in the lagoons is 10 times higher than the salinity of the waters of the Pacific ocean, located 250 kilometers away from here.

The vast Chaxa salt marsh is located at the foot of the Andes at an altitude of about 2,900 meters above sea level about 50 kilometers south of the San Pedro de Atacama oasis . In the summer months , from December to February, part of the salt marsh after the rains turns into vast shallow lakes that attract numerous waterfowl and waterfowl, primarily flamingos of three species - Andean, Chilean and James's. In the southern part of the salt marsh there is a large deposit of lithium, which has been developed since the mid - 70s of the last century

Baltinache Lagoons
The Baltinache lagoons, otherwise called Lagunas Escondidas (Hidden lagoons) are 7 deep salt reservoirs in the heart of the Atacama salt marsh at an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
