With Gratitude...Iceland 2016

Oh Iceland...you reinvigorated my soul, touched my heart and left me with an intense connection...to myself, the Earth and the Universe. With Gratitude to you Raw mother earth, I will always feel your connection & vibration, see your green pastures & massive glaciers in my memory, feel your energy, and yearn to see your volcanic black sand beaches again soon. The experience you gave me allowed me to be quiet in my body, crisp in my thoughts, and feel connected to my world. You are a special place.

Like my friend Annie always says, "Of course they did!" We always find each other.

Reynisfjara Beach  is a beautiful spot to spend hours and hours just wandering. There is a quaint little restaurant that serves delicious, bottomless soup, as well as a decent cup of coffee. Lovely to just sit and be.
FYI: This picture was taken in the summer at around 1am.

While driving East, from the town of Vik, I stumbled upon this fabulous place called Skaftafell National Park...I didn't want to drive the 3 hrs back to Vik, so I hung up some clothes around the car, to make it somewhat dark (since it never gets dark in the summer in Iceland), and tried to get some sleep. Well, that didn't happen. The next day was 10-12hrs of glorious hiking of endless views of glaciers to one side, black sand beaches to the other and beautiful scenery ahead and trailing behind.
