SOJOURN IN ISLA MUJERES, MEXICOOnce we left Belize, we headed to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and stayed there at anchor about two months. We were there on our other boat about thirty years ago and yes, it has changed quite a bit. We did a lot of walking, exploring, everyone was very nice, no problems at all, we anchored out the whole time but the dinghy dock was nearby and easy to get to.BACK TO THE STATES AGAINIn May, 2014, we did a four-day nonstop passage from Isla Mujeres, Mexico to Gulfport, Mississippi. We made our way to the New Orleans area where we are now. We rented an apartment for six months and are open to whatever comes next!
PASSAGING THROUGH THE BELIZE ISLANDSAfter revisiting the Honduras Bay Islands, we sailed to Belize and spent two months there on several islands. We met Betty and John there, from England, on their boat, Second Chance, and spent a lot of time with them in Belize and Mexico. It was great getting to know them and seeing things from a British point of view.Belize is beautiful, lovely beaches, and more built up than either the Honduras Islands or the Rio Dulce, but not yet crowded in any way.
