got a very late start to the day. Kim was not feeling well at all.. she may have been overserved last night... anyway, abou tmid-afternoon we headed back to the Spur Creek Saloon, about 35 miles north of Sturgis near Newell, SD. Robert and Becky, the owners, had offered to let us go for a horse back ride... here we are getting our horses saddled up and ready.

we rode out to the farthest cattle shelter we could find... Robert has these spotted all across his property. Gives the animals a place to escape the wind

I guess we ran the horses pretty hard.... when we returned, Trevers horse had sweat up a nice pile of goo

while we were out horseback riding, one of their longhorn cattle delivered a calf. we drove out to look at it when we returned. still has the umbilical cord attached...!
