Jan 20 - Day 1

the start of our West Coast Trip.... flying from Milwaukee to San Francisco with plans to fly out of Los Angeles a week later. Everything in between is spontaneous - no specific plan, other than to drive down Hwy 1.... It's the heart of the winter at home and in the Rockies.... It wasn't until the next day that we discovered Kim's camera was damaged and was marking all our pics with dark spots. My camera is brand new for this trip. In a couple days, Kim would have a brand new camera as well.. We took a ridiculous amount of pics! not sure how I'm going to filter them down...

We made it! got our rental car and making our way to Fisherman's Wharf area where we hope to find a hotel!

OK, we found a hotel one block away! pretty sweet! checked into our room, and walked around a bit before dinner..

we are going to eat good tonight! actually, we at at Joe's Crab shack. We should have eaten on the boardwalk..

Dungeness Crabs... we both preferred King Crab, Snow Crab, or Lobster!

I am trying to figure out how to take a good picture with this new camera! not used to $1500 DSLR cameras! but I learn quick...

Dinner! We chose something we knew... we should have eaten on the wharf across the street

Now that is a happy girl! first night of our vacation - excited! waiting for our feast!

this is the Coit Tower in San Francisco... we were both trying desperately to get at least one great picture! It was Red and Yellow tonight, but this tower has many different colored shows..

a little better....that's the end of night #1.... back to the hotel.. we're beat!
