on our first full day, we did a little sightseeing in San Francisco... that's the Bay Bridge in the distance

you cannot really tell how steep these streets are... VERY STEEP

we drove to the highest point we could find overlooking Alcatraz

at the top of our hill... you can't tell how steep the hills are, but we are higher than the rooftops of buildings one block away!

we walked out on a breakwater for a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge

zoomed in on the Coit Tower. would be a beautiful view at night, but we would be leaving before nightfall...

we walked back down to Fisherman's Wharf to see everything in the daytime...

you could tell which sea lions were in charge - they sat like this and bellowed at anyone who tried to approach
