Mother's Nature - The Source of Life
My purpose for this triptych was to emphasize the play on words of "Mother's Nature" both for the literal meaning of my mother in the first picture being surrounded by the various plants she cares for as well as the next two photos being from places of nature she's taken us to herself. However, the deeper meaning is ore than just my mother caring for nature, but is also meant to emphasize the source of life - our mothers, the water, the nature around us that all give us life and are essentially the center of it all.
From Sunset to Sunrise, I Love You
For this triptych, my purpose was to emphasize two different places my family and I have been to in which these very distant and far away places were in the process of sunset and sunrise, and in the middle of it all - my parents in the center sharing a moment at dusk - the moment in between these two different skies. With this triptych, I wanted to capture and emphasize the kind of everlasting love my parents have for one another that I admire so much, that has essentially traversed many sunsets and sunrises together - each day a new day, but the love never changing.
No Limit to Life
With this diptych, I wanted to focus on the phrase "The sky's/horizon's the limit" essentially meaning that there are endless possibilities for one to pursue, and they should not be limited to any aspect of life. So with these pictures, I wanted to emphasize the vast expanse of the sky and the never ending horizon beyond these waters and rocks to show and inspire the deeper meaning that life truly has no limits, and we should all aspire to go further than what the eye can see - to persevere in our endeavors and to see all that we can in this short life.
