Avenue Road Church Hare Krishna
Built in 1891 to house a Presbyterian congregation. They joined with a Meothodist congregation to form a United Church of Canada congregation in 1925. The building was taken over by Evangelist Charles Templeton in the late 1940's . It's expansion bankrupted Templeton and the building was sold to the Hare Krishna sect in the 1960's but a demolition permit was denied so they continue to use the building for their temple.
