Lisa, Lee, Brad and Tom played 36 holes of golf today at the spectacular ocean side courses of Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes. Weather conditions, always volatile on Oregon's Pacific Coast, were favorable-mostly sunny and breezy with occasional stiff gusts off the ocean. For most of the day, a layer of thick fog hung on the horizon over the ocean, which we learned was a typical meteorological feature in these parts. Both courses are links style, with wide open fairways, big, challenging bunkers, treacherous grassy zones and thick, gnarly Scottish gorse. If you hit into that nasty gorse, it's "Sayonara Pro V-1". The ocean vistas from several holes were breathtaking and the overall experience was one that every golfer with cash to burn should have on their bucket list.
