Welcome to the town of Levanto. It sits just north of 5 coastal towns which make up a region called Cinque Terra. This translates to something like 5 lands. You will see how picturesque these five towns are. We stayed in a hotel up in the mountains of Levanto but it was only a short walk down to the beach and to the train station where we could hike or ride to the other towns.

This is the first of the 5 towns making up Cinque Terra. This one is known for its beaches.

Tori and I hiked from this town to the 2nd town in Cinque Terra. It was a beautiful hike through the mountains. It took about 2 hours and was probably around 4-5 miles. There were lots of people on the trails because it was so pretty out.

This will give you an idea of how pretty the hiking trails were.

The lemons were in season here and there was fresh lemoncello everywhere. You can see the lemon trees and the vineyards in the background.

There was an old man selling fresh local produce on the trail. He got very angry when I took his picture!

In the background, you can see the 3rd of the 5 towns.

After hiking for hours and sweating our faces off, we decided to hop on the train to go the next ones. You can see that the view from the train tracks is pretty amazing as well.

More lemon trees with beautiful towns in the background.

The streets were so narrow and although the towns all look a little similar, they have each have their own unique feel.

This is the small marina of one of the towns. I just loved all the colors.

Tori took this picture and I had to add it because of the wonderful colors.

We stopped in this town to have some bruschetta and wine. This picture was taken from our table... yeah, not too bad of a view huh

Wine, this view, and my lovely wife... what more do you need?

I chose this photo because you can see how isolated these 5 towns are. They are separated by miles and the only thing behind them are vineyards, lemon groves, and olive trees.
Cinque Terra
I dont even remember which town this was, but it had been raining for hours and there were no tourists out, which gave me a unique oppurtunity to take photos with no other people in them.

A few poncho wearing tourists below, but still nice to see this town a little more quiet.
Cinque Terra
Taking pictures of Cinque Terra is pretty easy as the scenery is so rich. As long as you can aim the camera, you pretty much get amazing photos like this.

I know this album didnt have many photos of Tori and I, so I thought I would add this one in!
